September 9th Progress Update! Gauntlet mode started, and rundown.

Hey everyone! Since the last post I had done a good amount of brainstorming, and have implemented the framework for the Gauntlet Mode. I will keep the specifics brief here, but let's get in to it!

In gauntlet mode you will play 14 characters back to back. 10 "normal" characters, and all 4 bosses. The order is shuffled, the gauntlet will be segmented. You play:

 4 characters -> 1 boss -> Intermission

 4 characters -> 1 boss -> Intermission

 2 characters -> 2 bosses -> Complete

All modifiers will persist between rounds. The exact balancing is going to be tuned in the following week.

You will be provided with a limited amount of "coins" to use for rerolls throughout the gauntlet. Use it wisely.

At the start of the Gauntlet you will get the choice to remove 3 characters from the gauntlet to suit preference. This does have a small effect on the gauntlet. You will get slightly more "coins" to use if the average tempo is higher as compensation for things being slightly harder.

During Intermissions you will also be able to purchase more modifiers with your "coins".

The rewards for completing the Gauntlet mode will likely be used to attain permanent buffs. The gauntlet is rather long, but don't worry. If you do not complete it, you will receive rewards depending on how far you get. If you manage to beat it though, you will be rewarded quite handsomely

This next week will be focusing on finishing the Gauntlet Mode, and hopefully starting on the new dialogue, and scene setting.

On another note. For those who are interested in checking out some of the newer songs, Wishful Simping has uploaded an OST Demo Reel on his channel. The video gives sneak peeks at Nammi, Yu/Mei, Secret's theme, and more! Wishful Simping's OST Preview

Thanks everyone! I'll catch you all next week!

The version/demo(v0.12) right here on itch is free.

The patreon version is v0.15 at the moment, and patreon is the only official method of getting the most recent version currently. Patreon is mostly to help fund the development of the game more so than "purchase" the game.

That being said, the full game(v1.0) is targeted to launch in December, and will be available for purchase on Itch, and on Steam. If you are looking to purchase the game, it might be best to wait until it is completed and purchase it then.
